A Stitch in Time...

Tier 3 Leather Medium Armors are the first really good upgrades in armor you can get in Lord of The Rings Online for your character. Available in your 20's, you can really see the difference if you pick up a set of tier 3 leather armor.

It might be a good idea to simply go to the auction house with a pocket full of silver every time you are playing with your tailor, and purchase any recipe you don't have (without the red edging).

Just When You Thought it was Spring Time

These Lord of the Rings Online screenshots offer another chance to peek ahead at Book 13, Turbine's next free LotRO update, to glimpse the frozen land of Forochel. See the strange creatures and peoples, and the various dangerous landscapes of this chill place!

The best of these is the Forlorn land. The desolate look with the gigantic mammoth skull in the foreground is excellent scenery! The other great touches are the gigantic tent, and the furred menaces at the hot springs.

Darkgolem finishes up the metalsmith products of tier 2 in the Auction House Price Guide. Elvish and dwarvish armors, shields and iron tools are all priced and ready for the auction house!

Metal armor is very profitable, if your selling the mastery items. It is pretty hard to get some of the components for this, but if you do, it can be well worth it!

What is ever better is that there isn't a "best" suit of armor for your character... often you will find that some armor of a certain tier is the same in effect, but looks different, allowing you to have a distinct look for your character.

There and Back Again

With the cool days of spring settling upon us and the anxiously awaited games of summer yet to arrive, many massively multiplayer gamers may be caught between games. What game should you play while you wait? How can you pass the time? One of Ten Ton Hammer's premium community members, Jay "Medeor" Johnson, has re-entered Lord of the Rings Online - Turbine's vision of J.R.R. Forty quests in a log – Woot! and Ugh! all rolled into one! Being a completionist, enabling me to have 40 quests is like dumping the sunflower seeds in front of a vampire (see X Files archives for more info). I can't move on until I have clicked all of the "done" boxes. The quest log has a nice segmentation between the different quest types and so far the quest log itself is quite handy.
