Bjorn Book-Larsson returns this week with a new APB: Reloaded blog to discuss matchmaking and user control. The blog details the original flaws with the matchmaking system and what the devs are doing to bring it more in line with a skill-based and balanced system that won't simply allow new players to get hammered by veterans.

Hacking and cheating is always a problem with online games and APB: Reloaded is no exception. Book-Larsson added a thank you to hackers in the recent blog, noting that their cheating has been monitored and has helped better equip the game to combat cheating.

For the past 3 weeks we have been watching and observing user behavior in Closed Beta. We'd like to extend a "thanks" to the 60 odd players that have been toying around with various hack tools (about 0.4% of the players). Thanks to your hard cheating work, we are now much better equipped to deal with you going forward. How? I guess you will find out.
