Today we walk down memory lane, only it's about the future.

Turbine was not always known for it's block buster licensed-lore MMOs such as Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online. This year marked the 100th update to the first MMO made by Turbine, Asheron's Call. That was a big milestone, but next year will be the tenth anniversary and according to an exclusive interview with Producer David Javier by Massive Gamer Magazine, Turbine has some big plans for 2009.

“I’ll just throw out the phrase two-handed weapons,” he said of a long requested feature from the community. “There is also the thought of doing something for the skills in the game that are kind of under-utilized, stuff like lockpick, assess and deception. We’ve been thinking about ways that we could make them useful and appropriate.”

The interview discusses some of the trials and tribulations that AC has accumulated being one of the original three big MMOs to hit the market. For a trip down memory lane and to hear what Turbine has in store for AC, go to Massive Gamer Magazine.
