Voice acting is becoming a bigger part of MMOGs. Star Wars: The Old Republic may be the most ambitious developer in this area by attempting to fully voice their MMORPG, but they aren't the only ones looking to bring in some talented voice for their game. Sony Online Entertainment has brought in some well-known actors to voice characters in DC Universe Online (DCUO). One of the most notable is Mark Hamill, best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, but Hamill has also done some impressive work voicing video game characters. Ironically, Hamill, who did an amazing job voicing the Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum, will reprise his role as the laughing madman in DCUO.

Heading up the cast with Mark Hamill is Kevin Conroy, who also performed with Hamill in Batman: Arkham Asylum as Hamill's opposite, the Dark Knight himself. Like Hamill, Conway will reprise his role as Batman in DCUO.

“We’re excited that not only will Mark and Kevin bring their talent back to the DC Universe as part of DC Universe Online, but we’ve hit the jackpot with a full cast that are veterans of movies, TV shows and games that our fans are crazy about,” said Sony Online Entertainment Vice President of Development, John Blakely.  “Several of these actors are recognized as the definitive voices for these characters, and will help us in creating an authentic and exciting experience for fans when they get in the game.”

The rest of the DCUO cast is rounded out with other talented actors such as Alec Baldwin (Superman), Gina Torres (Wonder Woman), James Marsters (Lex Luthor), and Michelle Forbes (Circe).
