Without doubt one of the most played Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games of all time, that is if you don’t take into consideration the pokies you can enjoy at an online casino Australia, received a patch updated on the 12th of June and everyone wants to find out what the main changes are. Well, if you’re one of the people that wants to know exactly what this patch does, it’s your lucky day. Check out all the changes and fixes that were brought with this new patch.

New Hero – Yrel

Whenever a patch comes with a new hero, fans are excited and eager to find out all about its qualities, features and, of course, how good is it against the existing ones. It’s good to know right from the start that Yrel is a Warrior (Melee Tank) that will cost you 750 gems to purchase. Playing with Yrel is considered to have medium difficulty since it can be used as a Tank, for Support as well as Crowd Control. Its main weaknesses show when there’s heavy crowd control to be done or against highly mobile enemies.

Trait – Divine Purpose – with a cooldown of 10 seconds this trait will increase the effectiveness of Yrel’s basic abilities, however, it will reduce movement speed with up to 25%.

Basic Abilities

  • Vindication – Cooldown: 6 seconds; Mana cost: 50 – unleashes holy energy around Yrel causing 38 damage to all nearby enemies while healing her for 06.
  • Righteous Hammer - Cooldown: 6 seconds; Mana cost: 50 – Yrel swings her hammer, dealing 36 damage to enemies that are in front of her, knocking them away. Charged be the Divine Purpose, the damage goes up to 125 while hit enemies also get stunned for 0.75 seconds.
  • Avenging Wrath – Cooldown: 6 seconds; Mana cost: 50 – Yrel leaps to a location, dealing 150 damage to enemies in the affected area while also slowing them by 50% for the duration of 1 second. Charging up this ability increases the range.

Heroic Abilities

  • Ardent Defender – Cooldown: 100 seconds; Mana cost: 40 – Yrel gets surrounded by a barrier for 3 seconds, making her invulnerable and healing her with 50% of the damage she would have received in the 3-seconds period.
  • Sacred Ground – Cooldown: 40 seconds; Mana cost: 40 – it sanctifies the ground around Yrel, boosting Armor with 40 as long as she stays in the sanctified area.

Alterac Pass Battleground

Besides bringing one more hero to the collection, this new patch also comes with a new Battleground that will become available starting with the 19th of June in al the non-ranked matches – Quick Match, Versus AI, Custom Games and Unranked. This new Battleground will also be available for Ranked matches starting with the 10th of July.

50% Bonus Event

Whenever you’re playing with one or more friends, you will be able to earn an extra 50% bonus XP for each completed match. This bonus applies to Versus AI, Unranked, Quick Match, Heroes Brawl as well as Team League and it will be active until the 9th of July. This is a great opportunity to intensify you Heroes of the Storm gameplay in order to gain XP more rapidly and improve your level.

Echoes of Alterac Event

This even brings new quests that can be explored by players with the possibility of unlocking various rewards such as Portraits, Mounts, Sprays and even a Warcraft Reinforcements Loot Chest that contains a Warcraft Hero. Players interested in trying out this new event should know that you can only pursue one of the questlines – Alliance or Horde – and joining one questline makes the other unavailable for good. Make sure you choose to go with the faction you support since this decision can not be reversed afterwards. The Echoes of Alterac Event will be available until the 9th of July.

So, there you go! A whole bunch of new reasons to enjoy Heroes of the Storm possibly even more than before. One thing is certain, you can always count on Blizzard to come up with new, exciting stuff with every delivered patch.
