A new rumor recently surfaced about the next possible expansion to EverQuest II. The latest rumors hint at a possible return to Velious in the game's next expansion. If you're not familiar with Velious, it was an area introduced to the original EverQuest with the Scars of Velious expansion and home to one of the game's most interesting and involving questlines culminating in a zone-wide event known as the Coldain Ring War. Velious was a favorite area of many old EverQuest vets and the possibility of returning to the old stomping grounds is something that many players would welcome.

Observant players recently noticed some interesting files being patched into EverQuest II revealing the appearance of the Coldain Dwarves and the Othmir, two races from Velious.
