Rift kicked off December in style with its first closed beta event, Rise of the Defiant, which allowed testers to access the first 20 levels of the Defiant faction content. The event was considered a great success by the Trion Worlds team and provided lots of useful feedback that helped address some key issues in the game.

The second closed beta event, Guardians of the Vigil, will offer testers a chance to put the first 20 levels of content for the opposing Guardian faction through its paces. The event is scheduled to begin tomorrow and conclude on Monday, December 20th, 2010.
