What Will The Future Bring To Blizzard?

IGN.com has posted an interview with Blizzard's COO, Paul Sams. They had a chance to sit down with him at the recent Games Convention 2006 in Leipzig, Germany.

At just shy of 7 million global users, World of Warcraft is by far the most popular MMO games out there, and is one of the only MMOs to experience rampant success in North America and Europe as well as Asia. In addition to an English version of the game, you can find World of Warcraft in German, French, Korean, Chinese, and there's a Spanish version coming soon. At this rate, World of Warcraft is well on its way to being the most-translated game in the world.

While World of Warcraft was released in Europe in February 2005, four months after the U.S., sales are still very strong in that region as well as around the world. Sams tells us that August 2006 was the biggest sell-through month for the game in Europe, with even more copies sold than in November or December of 2005.
