In what was a surprise to no-one, the first wave of BlizzCon tickets sold out in less than five minutes.

How Many? How Fast?

It is unclear how many tickets were available in the first wave or how quickly they actually sold out, but we do know that Eventbrite threw up the "Sold Out, Closed for Business" shingle at 10:06 Eastern Time.

I was refreshing my browser so fast that I was afraid my F5 button would fly off.  The page refreshed instantly (well done Blizzard and Eventbrite).  Eventually, I was able to pull up the Order Page, click on "4" tickets and hit Submit.    I was then put into a holding pattern while presumably the people who had The Flash clicking their browser refresh button were ordering their tickets ahead of me.

After six minutes in the "waiting room" I was returned to the ordering page where tickets were shown as "Unavailable".

More tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 1:00 PM Eastern, but I assume that the demand will be just as high, if not larger for that batch.

Those of you who were fortunate enough to get tickets.   What was your trick?   Those of you that attend every year, how do you do it?

Let's get as many TTH readers to BlizzCon this year as we can!!!
