Loading... putting the 'Mo' in MMOG.

First, the Ten Ton Pulse, your finger on the beating heart of the MMOG industry.

If the Top 10 isn't enough, we also show the Top 20 and Top 50 lists as well, available to everyone on our homepage. (What is Pulse?)

  1. Warhammer Online - 200 BPM
  2. World of Warcraft - 108 BPM
  3. Age of Conan - 41 BPM
  4. Star Trek Online - 10 BPM
  5. Tabula Rasa - 9 BPM
  6. Lord of the Rings Online - 7 BPM
  7. EVE Online - 7 BPM
  8. EverQuest II - 5 BPM
  9. Stargate Worlds - 4 BPM
  10. Vanguard - 4 BPM

If you pre-ordered a collector's edition of Warhammer Online, you should expect to see your beta invitation soon. Our coverage of the Dwarf Engineer class was so well received that today our WAR community team has delivered, The Black Orc: Simply Smashing... Literally.

Immense is the perfect word to describe the number of MMOG players who yearned for information about Warhammer Online yesterday. The soon to be released Mythic Entertainment title pushed close to a record high traffic number yesterday, driving interest in World of Warcraft to a record low of 104 BPM. Congratulations to the Mythic Entertainment team, though I expect Blizzard will push back with increasing numbers of Wrath of the Lich King announcements. Both games continue to compete feverishly for the top spot on the Ten Ton Pulse podium.

The Olympic podium hasn't been kind to my home and native land. If points were awarded for 4th and 7th place Canada might be Olympic champs. As it stands, we're currently in 47th place behind such powerful sporting nations as Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

Some lucky Ten Ton Hammer readers are going to be part of Richard Garriott's Operation Immortality.

"Richard Garriott has long been a pioneer in the online gaming industry, but now he wants to enlist the aid of his fans to help save humanity. In the Ten Ton Hammer Operation Immortality Contest, Tabula Rasa players can compete for one of five chances to preserve their digitized DNA on the space station when Lord British himself becomes the sixth civilian to reach outer space on October 12, 2008."

Your DNA could exist on the space station. Will aliens make thousands of clones and send them back to Earth? We can only dare to dream. Make sure that they are clones of you by entering our Operation Immortality Contest.
