With the Heart of Thorns beta weekend right around the corner, I thought I’d ask how you’re all intending to spend your time. With all revenant legends available, including weapon swap, alongside four elite specializations, there’s going to be plenty to occupy us. Considering you can make use of each race and every game mode (sPvP, WvW and PvE) it’s difficult to know where to even start!

Undoubtedly I think every single player will play all elite specializations and whilst I’ll do that, what I want to really determine is how viable each is in specific areas of the game. Is the reaper and its shouts really going to be poor in sPvP? Will it be amazing in PvE? Can the dragon hunter truly roam in WvW similarly to a ranger? Is the chronomancer going to unseat the necromancer as the king of WvW bombing?

Importantly and when it comes to the revenant, I want to get a feel for Shiro’s damage to see whether the profession is going to fit the middleground between a meditation guardian and a thief. I’m hoping it will and as someone who has never really been into number crunching, my gut instinct and feel when playing a profession is usually pretty accurate.
