Welcome to the 56th edition of Reloading…
“It is enjoyable to make things visible which are invisible.” – Eric Cantona
Everyone can use a feel good moment to start the day. Let’s go with this…

Thanks as always for reading. I appreciate that you take time out of your day to spend on something as silly as this column.
Jeff and Ben will be in Germany (or perhaps even be home by the time this goes live on the site) trekking through gamescom this week. I expect plenty of interesting nuggets to come from this show. As such, this column will be handed over to those who do the work, walk the walk and can provide you with some insight into the industry. I’ll be back when they are done being all informative and the like.
But, I can be informative too!
NCSoft has released some Guild Wars 2 screenshots featuring the Sylvari Grove. The Sylvari are plants that resemble humans, much like, I suspect, Howard Stern. Unlike Stern they do not have their own radio show or a mullet. Screenshots of the Grove and a
video of the Sylvari can be found here.
SEE Virtual Worlds has purchased the online versions of
Men in Black,
Total Recall,
War of the Worlds and
Waterworld. I bet they threw
Waterworld in for free. What I would like to see is a four faction game based on all of those IPs. It would have to be Will Smith and Arnold versus Costner and Cruise though.
SWTOR (remember we call it SWEATER here) is now predicted to sell three million copies in its first year. The full story including any actual reasons for this prediction can be found in
Martuk’s news story.
Last, but not least,
End of Nations will be a free-to-play game.
Enjoy your time without me penning this daily diatribe. Feel free to email me or fire me a tweet telling you how much you miss me. Or lie about it, I’m OK with that too!
