Welcome to the latest World of Warcraft newsletter from Ten Ton Hammer.

few we probably shouldn't.

I have low expectations from company PR departments when it comes to
podcasts, and the latest edition of Blizzcast meets those expectations
in a spectacular wipe. A few minutes of Jeff Chilton does not make for
an insightful and entertaining look at WoW. Thirty minutes of
podcasting, less than 3 on WoW.

Season 5 is coming to an end, which raises one question, did it really
ever start? With PvP gear lacking luster and requiring serious
ratings, it wouldn't be surprising if we see some revamps to get more
people involved.

Kudos to Blizz for doing their best to keep the "Realm First"
achievements available to more people when Ulduar opens. They seem to
be working hard to devise a plan to keep the Ulduar 25s from sweeping
through Ulduar 10 just to nab the achievements, so they are getting
creative. Let's see how it plays out.

Ah the good old
days. Some we miss, but most we just
appreciate (for the fact that they're gone!).

Remember when you couldn't plan events on Tuesdays due to server
instability? Most of those days are gone thankfully.

With the Armory and other stat-laden sites available, we can dig so
deep into a character that we can see their relatives in Teldrassil (if
they're an Elf). Remember when you had to ask someone if they were
good, and they knew how to answer? Now it seems as if the game of
grouping is more of a math equation than of skill.

Remember when a "big" repair bill was 10g? Of course it took a lot
longer to farm 10g back then, so I guess it's a wash.

This week brought to you by Pepto-bismal and Alkaseltzer, otherwise
known as the stomach bug edition. Between hot sweats and an occasional
race to the restroom, the last two days have not been that fun. Social
graces aside, what's up in the world of WoW?

I'm getting a little tired of writing that there will be no patch this
week, but there will be no patch this week. I'll stick to my guns that
this is a good thing and we'll be better off for it.

In my drug-induced haze I've been patrolling some of the latest blue
posts to see that Druids are getting the nerf beat-down a bit more. The
latest info on Patch 3.1 shows Rent and Tear getting nerfed
and Primal Tenacity will only work while in cat form. So much for that
Druid tank taking less damage while stunned by the bosses (Maexxna, I'm
looking at you). Why does Blizzard hate Druid tanks?

Noblegarden is just around the corner. It seems that we just got done
drying the tears of those who failed to get the last holiday
achievements done, and now we're on to another one. Will this one be
easy, hard or at least tolerable by those of us who don't give a rat's

Did you hear about the changes to Flasks? I didn't know
whether to write this up as a Win or Teh Suck above. In Patch 3.1,
Flasks will last for 1 hour (down from 2) but the reagents needed will
make twice the flasks (so you get the same overall time for reagent
costs). They will also stack to 20 (finally). Most instances in
Northrend can be completed in 2 hours, but some of them are longer than
1 hour. It seems to me that outside of raids, we're going to be more
conscious of when we take a hit off those flasks. If an instance takes
an hour and half, we're going to be wasting flask-time. Looks like we
want to wait until we get to the first boss before we hit the bottle.

Last but not least, the damage to break fear, hex, and screams has been
"significantly reduced." The PvE part of me says "well crap" and the
PvP part of says "cool." When playing my Shaman though...hex has been
awesome, you can get a mob to half health before it breaks sometimes.

Sorry for the scattered thoughts, I blame the three petri dishes (aka
kids) that seem to be carriers of parent poison.  Did you
catch this nasty bug that seems to be plaguing a good portion of the
country? Are you excited for Noblegarden? Have you had a 100g repair
bill? href="http://forums.tentonhammer.com/showthread.php?t=41960"> style="text-decoration: underline;">Stop by and let's
discuss. href="http://forums.tentonhammer.com/showthread.php?t=41777">

Until next week, have fun and thanks for reading,
