City of Heroes was such a resounding success when it launched in 2004, that developer NCsoft only needed 13 months to release City of Villains. The former title was a unique massively-multiplayer online game that enabled players to experience life as a superhero--complete with super powers. The latter allowed gamers to explore their dark side as a super villain.
Four years after players first set virtual foot in Paragon City, the games are still going strong, and NCsoft wants new players to try it and old players to return.
