Maybe it needed more polish or maybe marketing decided on a delay due to the barrage of new content updates and expansions flooding the month of November, but Darkfall: Unholy Wars will not be making its intended release date of November 20th. In a post to the Darkfall blog, Adventurine’s Tasos Flambouras announced that despite the team’s best efforts, they missed the mark and will be delaying its release. The new launch is scheduled for the rather unique date of December 12th, 2012 or 12/12/12.

"Dear Friends,

I’m in the unfortunate position to have to make the following announcement:

Despite our best efforts to hit the November 20th launch date, we fell just short of the mark. A combination of external factors, last minute issues, and final testing feedback forces us to push back the release date to December 12th, 2012.

We’re obviously not happy about this development, however we’re geared to make the best of the extra three weeks by further improving the release version of Darkfall Unholy Wars, while keeping the postponement of the launch as short as possible.

Our development schedule has not changed, therefore we will be taking the current game offline as planned on November 15 during the time scheduled maintenance takes place.

We apologize for any inconvenience created by the postponement and we appreciate your patience. We resolve to make it up to our players through the quality of the final product. In the meanwhile we’ll also give you a lot more insight into the game."
