MOBAs have certainly become the latest of the "me too" generation of games and this week we have yet another entry into the genre with the Waystone Games developed fantasy MOBA, Dawngate. The MOBA is being published by EA according to its website, which in itself may have been revealed a bit prematurely. Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube pages all exist for the game and are either set to a private state or have no posts at the moment.

Beta registration appears to be open on the website and the Dawngate description reads as follows:

Dawngate is a new MOBA, built from the ground up to look and feel familiar while offering a whole new way to experience MOBA gameplay. Dawngate empowers you to forge the champions you love for the roles you want in a competitive arena, shaped by ever-evolving, community-driven content and story.

Little is known about the developer Waystone Games, which is a new studio and Dawngate is their first game. A brief post in the game’s "About Us" section of the website reads:

“We're sincere students of games; what they are, what they have been, what they can become. And we want to make a contribution.

No matter where you're going on your own journey in gaming, there are always people who've gone before you. They mark the path, leaving waystones to let you know that there's something good this way: a road worth travelling. That's our goal: to mark a road worth traveling.

We hope you like our games.”

In any case, stay tuned and we’ll update you when we have more.
