  • The DDO beta quest journals continues...

Aloyce, Ralsu, and Shayalyn battle undead in an attempt to rescue a missing woman from the clutches of a necromancer in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach. Follow the party on a new adventure filled with monsters, magic, and intrigue:

I heard the same moaning a man makes as the life force flees his body and two shadowy figures shambled from behind nearby pillars. As the red light fell across their forms, I could see the exposed bones showing from some parts of their bodies and the decaying flesh all over.

  • A gift for the magi...

Darkgolem gives you what you want: a complete list of Level 1 spells from Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach! Even better, he tells what each spells does and how useful it is to a budding wizard or sorcerer:

[Sleep] can be targeted upon a spot designated by a cursor, but the fast paced nature of combat makes this a difficult technique. When placed upon a running creature, it will appear at the location the creature was when activated, usually missing. Hypnotism is much more effective for disabling creatures until dealt with in other ways.

  • Did you bring protection?

In Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, Shayalyn and Ralsu take a seemingly simple job of protecting a crate of goods in Kenbrooke's basement. They are confronted by and entire gang of thieves intent on destroying the crate and killing them:

My spectral companion growled into the gloom once more and we spotted more brigands making their way toward us, trying to use stealth to remain undetected. Several of them were upon us quickly, and I saw both Ralsu and Aloyce take punishing blows from the thugs. I drew back, chanted an incantation, and healed them each by turn. Calten hung back in a corner, whispering his own magical words, and I watched as several bolts of magic tore into the flesh of the bandits, the manifestation of his spell.

  • Hairy footed, or hugely hearted?

Ralsu supplies us with the essential information to understand another playable race in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach. They're small and resourceful, nimble and curious. They're halflings!

Halflings are cunning survivalists who choose adventure as a way to acquire the wealth and luxury they revere. Most seek to avoid physical confrontation, relying on wit and reflexes to survive. Their trust in their skills permits them to demonstrate bravery even in desperate situations.

  • DDO elves, fresh off the.... shelves?

Ralsu conjures up another guide to the races of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, this time painting a word portrait of the beautiful and mysterious elf.

An elf often seeks adventure because of stagnation in her life. A race that can live over 700 years, elves have ample time to explore the curiosities in life. Elves are neither rash nor greedy. They gain perspective from their years of experience. When elven curiosity points to a goal, elves demonstrate remarkable concentration and persistence.

  • Clerics inciting others to violence? And we're not even talking about Danish cartoons.

Zed brings us the information needed to build a better cleric in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, and he insists clerics are more than simple healers.

Whilst clerics in DDO are still the primary healing class they offer much more versatility to a group. They are capable of buffing the entire party’s combat skills or other important ability scores, crowd control and even some powerful offensive spell casting. Plus, clerics can enter front line combat, hiding behind shield and heavy armour to aid the fighters in bringing down their foes.

The Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach Cleric starter guide, only at DDO @ TenTonHammer. And don't worry: Shayalyn and Zed promise that no alter boys were harmed in the making of this guide!
