Diablo III’s 1.0.5 update will be bringing a lot of balance tweaks for class defensive skills that will also be offset by a nerf to Inferno monster damage. As announced earlier this month, 1.0.5 will focus on balance changes relating to several defensive skills in an effort to promote a wider range of viable class builds. While the nerf affects many of the defensive skills currently used by a large number of players, they will be offset by a nerf to monster damage in Inferno difficulty by at least 25%.

For those of you grumbling about the decreased difficulty know that you still have the new “Monster Power” feature slated for release with the update, which will function in a way similar to the Diablo II “Player 8” feature as well as the Infernal Machine boss challenges. More details about those features will be coming in future blogs. In the meantime, you can check out the current list of planned class skill changes.
