CCP dives back into the details of armored warfare for DUST 514
this week. CCP CMDR Wang has post the second part of the vehicle-focused dev blog series detailing vehicle roles and characteristics, the first of which was posted last month
. The latest blog draws comparisons and similarities to vehicle design in DUST 514
that is similar to its PC war in space tie-in, EVE Online
. Capacitor and hull design function in similar ways with capacitors replenishing over time so that you never run out in the long-term. In the short-term, you may want to manage your resources.
Also similar to EVE is the way the skilling system works, which require players to train specific skills in order to pilot a given vehicle. This also provides the option to further train in specialization.
