EverQuest II will be receiving its ninth expansion later this year with Chains of Eternity, but before that we have more content to help pave the way for the future of Norrath. SOE today launched the prelude update to the Chains of Eternity expansion with Sleeper’s Tomb, Chapter 1. If you played the first EverQuest, that name may be all too familiar.

Starting today, players of level 92 can undertake a new quest from Erus Dal’viv, the Swordbearer to begin their journey into the story that will follow with Chains of Eternity. Additionally, players can also visit Jorlak, an aged Dracurion chronomage, outside of the Sleeper’s Tomb in Velious’ Eastern Wastes to launch a quest that will give access to world changing events in Norrath’s history.
