John Smedley Boasts EverQuest II Free-to-Play Growth Numbers on Twitter

EverQuest II made the full jump to free-to-play last year and since that time, the game has experienced a healthy growth according to Sony Online Entertainment boss John Smedley.

In a recent Twitter post, Smedley provided some numbers on the growth of EverQuest II since the change.

We are seeing some amazing growth in EQ2. 40% increase in daily logins since going f2p. 300% increase in new players.

Smedley later posted another tweet about in-game item sales and subs since the conversion.

And 200% increase in Item sales. Plus we have added a lot of new subs. All during the time that some really good competition hit the market
