THE OLD TIMERS GUILD: I am happy to say that the response from our members has been very positive. Many are now looking to spend the 5 dollars to start the game play on the 17th myself included. Yes we have seen some griefing and some bugs and issues however none of them have deterred us from wanting to play. The only difficult choice we face now is...when we order our pizza do we want Mountain Dew or Pepsi? Oh, the tough choices one must make!

It's hard to judge your worth in World of Warcraft. WoW is a game that provides a wealth of gear and loot that can make you as weak as a noodle or as strong as an ox. As time goes on and our attachment to our characters grows we often lose track of how hardcore we really are. Often times we see ourselves more or less hardcore than we really are. Our latest article gives you a good idea of where you stand in the virtual arena. So find out just how hardcore you are today!

Believe it or not, while you may not be close to hardcore you're better than a good deal of players. A lot of players stop their personal progression once they hit 70 utilizing the green items from quests or just going straight to PvP gear. Many players have never set foot into any of the exciting instances contained within Outland.

Alterac Valley is a confusing place, especially with all the changes that Blizzard keeps implementing in an effort to balance it out for both factions. So while you may know the basic rules and understand the ideas behind how it works, the tactics and strategies to actually win may elude you. That's where Byron "Messiah" Mudry steps up the the plate this week, with a new section for our Alterac Valley guide that looks at the basic strategies and tactics that will allow you to win in the valley.

While on defense your job is basically to slow the enemy down as much as possible. You will not be expected to win the game, as you will be severely out numbered. You can however fear, trap, slow, mind control, polymorph and use every other crowd control or debuff you have to slow the opponent and frustrate them.

I Want to Be Left Alone!

While it may sound like an odd combination, there are many in the MMO game world who prefer solo play to the social efforts of guilds and friends. While their motivations might be hard to explain they are becoming a larger voice in the industry and even social players who rarely solo are joining them. Will Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning provide them enough content? Ten Ton Hammer looks at what we know so far.

Now an interesting phrase stands out in that quote and no it isn't the Soccer reference because we know no one plays Soccer in America. Tricking you into making friends seems like an odd way to present a mechanic but it's subtle and brilliant in nature. What they essentially had in mind here was that you'd show up to help assault a city, a Keep, or play a scenario and the classical Esprit De Corps would kick in prompting new friends and allies in the war. In addition to this, it's a well known fact that Creative Director Paul Barnett has a preference for solo play and has no problems letting people know that. With that in mind it seems very likely he has been providing his input about this playstyle.
