Class balance is nothing more than an illusion in World of Warcraft. While Blizzard does their absolute best to ensure that all classes and specializations are in the same league, it can never totally and truly be perfect. In the end, some classes will always manage to outperform the rest.

With the release of Patch 6.2 a slew of class changes that have tipped the scales once more. The time is right for a new batch of overpowered classes to take the lead. Which classes are above and beyond the rest in Patch 6.2? We dug through the numbers and combined them with our personal in game experience to compile a list of the top 3 overpowered PvE classes in World of Warcraft. Check out our picks for the top 3 overpowered classes below.

Please note that player skill is something that cannot be measured. A good player with the right knowledge can transform even the least viable class and specialization into something amazing.

Paladin

The light has served Paladins well in Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.2. Protection Paladins in this patch have very high survivability, making them appealing to damage dealers and healers alike. Not to mention that they also still manage to easily hold large amounts of mobs, even after the removal of auras. Holy Paladins are also rocking this patch, easily topping the healing charts. In the right hands, a Holy Paladin can easily out heal almost any other class or spec, only being truly shut out by well played Discipline Priests.

The third Paladin specialization, Retribution, is the weakest link in this class. However, despite the fact that Retribution isn't quite topping the charts, they are still way above many other classes and specializations when it comes to damage. Considering this spec has seen little change over the years, combined with the sheer awesomeness of the other specs open to this class, and Paladins are where it is at in Patch 6.2.

Warlocks

While some simulators have painted the Warlock's DPS abilities as low this expansion, watching them in action paints a totally different picture. A Warlock in the right hands can easily top the charts, leaving many other classes in the dust. Especially noticeable is the Affliction Warlock, who has made an amazing turn around this patch, thanks to a few well placed class buffs along the way.

The other two Warlock specializations are nothing to thumb our noses at either. Both Demonology and Destruction are performing superbly in the PvE environment. While not doing the numbers that the Affliction Warlock is currently doing and not performing as well on simulators, you can expect to see either specialization near the top of any DPS chart in your next raid. Perhaps heading into Draenor and being in such close proximity to the Burning Legion once again has given this class its boost

Druid

Druids in this expansion have come out of the gate strong and remained that way throughout this expansion. Even in the most recent patch, the Druid still easily makes this list. The tanking and healing of the Druid class at this stage of the game are some of the best in the game. The Druid tank is impressive at holding aggro and also brings a fair bit of damage to the raid, while the Restoration Druid's healing-over-time spells are powerful tools that can easily propel you to the top of the healing charts in the hands of a competent player.

This powerhouse class isn't doing too shabby in the DPS department either. While you won't see Druid DPS at the top of the meters, both DPS specs are currently pushing pretty decent numbers, with Feral Druids being the slightly stronger of the two. In the hands of a knowledgeable player, the DPS Druid can really be something special. Even considering the slightly low DPS this class is currently pushing, taking in to account utility and the excellence of their healing and tanking counterparts, the Druid class easily makes and rounds out this list.

That wraps up our picks for the top 3 overpowered classes in Warlords of Dreanor Patch 6.2. Which classes do you think are currently overpowered? Which do you think will rise to the top in the future? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
