Dust 514 is a console-based hybris MMO/FPS set in the Eve Online universe. The game will feature elements of a FPS (first person shooter) and RTS (real time strategy) game and will in some way interact directly with players of Eve Online.

The primary gameplay for Dust 514 takes place in the form of brutal combat on the planets from Eve Online as players take up the role of mercenaries to help shape the EVE universe through DUST 514. Players will need to use both battlefield reflexes and strategic planning to be victorious. Vehicles will be available as players fight through dynamic combat conditions.

CCP announced at E3 2011 that DUST 514 is a Playstation 3 and Vita exclusive.

DUST 514 Mercenaries to Swarm EVE Online in Massive Weekend Event

EVE Online's cross-platform link with DUST 514 is about to get a lot more interesting. We participated in a roundtable discussion with CCP today to learn more about a massive weekend event, which invites EVE and DUST players to actually help create the back story and lore of the EVE universe.
