style="font-family: tahoma;">The Dervish

By
Darkgolem

The wild people who live in the
deserts of Eberron must be well able to survive in those climes.
Humanoids, undead and elemental creatures abound, and the incautious or
easily found don't survive long.  As such, the Dervish excels at
surviving in such a place.  Fast, agile, a master of two weapon
fighting and skilled in ranged combat, the dervish is a welcome
addition to any who travel desert ways.

With a high dexterity and bonuses for fighting in two handed fighting,
the dervish should not shy away from melee, though it would be wise to
operate with hit and run tactics, moving in, delivering a shower of
blows, and moving out before a serious response can be mounted by the
dervish's opponents.  Against opponents who are found in the
desert, undead, elementals and gnolls, the dervish excels.  In
addition, the attacks of these opponents, including the common use of
fire, are less effective.

Future advancement of a dervish build could consider rogue (for skills
and sneak attack), fighter (for power attack, and eventually cleave),
or more
ranger.  Make sure to increase your wisdom as the opportunity
allows, so you can gain access to higher level spells.  This build
is designed for a desert theme, and ideally a khopesh sword and kukri
combination would be the most accurate to this theme.  Since the
(historically semi inaccurate) depiction of a dervish is a desert
warrior with a "spinning" style of fighting, feats to get might include
power attack, cleave or eventually whirlwind attack.
