A great black bird watched as a band of crazed men finished off the last of the patrolling Norscan warriors they had ambushed. "For Sigmar!" shouted the leader, and the others cried out in response. From it's perch high in a nearby tree, the bird cawed its disapproval, then flapped away.

Minutes later, the raven returned to the outstretched arms of its master, Volshehk. It cawed several times, then flew away again. Volshehk pondered the message he had received. Once again, these fanatics had slain his men without a single casualty. Such was their devotion to their false god, they fought without fear or regard for their own lives. In a way, he admired these so-called Flagellents and their leader Adelbart Mueller. Most of the Empire's soldiers had fled the northern coast of Nordland when the Warhost invaded. Mueller had stubbornly remained, and had managed to convince those peasants unable or unwilling to escape that they were on a holy crusade against evil.

This Mueller would make a fine addition to the Warhost, Volshehk decided. He would have enjoyed the challenge of turning him if there had been time, but other matters needed his attention now.

The Warhost had finally encountered a sizable army of the Empire. Battle had been joined at the coastal village of New Emskrank, and thus far, the soldiers of Nordland were proving difficult to dislodge. They used their knowledge of the land to great advantage, and had set up several well defended positions within the village. Time, however, was against them. With each passing hour, the main force of the Warhost drew nearer. Within a matter of only days, the men of the Empire would be vastly outnumbered.

From his vantage point on the cliff above, the Chaos leader watched the latest skirmish unfold. A group of Nordlander longswords had surrounded a band of Chaos Warriors, and would soon cut them down. Vloshehk drew his great flail and rode down to join the fray.

Stage I: Kill 20 Nordland Swordarms and 10 Nordland Millers. Just over another hill full of wild boar and across the road, you'll find a giant Windmill. Here, the servants of Karl Franz the weak are gathering supplies so they can do what all Empire members do best. Turn tail and run. They only wish it was going to be that easy though. Storm in there and kill 20 Swordarms. The Swordarms are pretty much located all over the place, so they'll be easy to find. You'll also need to kill 10 Millers, who tend to hang out around/on the windmill, so you don't have to go to far.

Stage II: Destroy 5 wagons. Sounds easy, right? WRONG! You see, every time you kill a wagon, a woodsman weeps... and then gets two of his friends and comes out to kill you as revenge. This can get ugly as this is not one group only, but potentially five groups for a total of 15 mobs with ranged attacks and melee running around and by "running around" I mean "zeroing in on and zerging any Chaos person in the area". Your best bet is to get everyone in the area on the same page and destroy one wagon at a time, kill the three Woodsmen who come out to play, and repeat. If you don't, then you may be about to take the big dirt nap, because...

Stage III: Valhaus, the Marksman. The second you take out all five wagons, this guy appears and he's easily as big of a pain in the rear as a tax audit. Valhaus hits from ranged like a Mac Truck, and also summons Standard class hounds into battle on the fly. What could make this more EXTREME?! I'll tell you. If you didn't kill all the Woodsmen from Stage II, BECAUSE THEY'RE STILL HERE, LOOKING FOR YOUR BLOOD! So now you have X amount of mobs running around, Woodsmen and Hounds, plus a Champion who apparently packs a Howitzer in his rifle. So if you're looking for the X-PQ Games, this is the way to go!

If you followed our advice back in stage two, this is still a challenging fight as Valhaus will summon up to two hounds to aid him. They can act as pseudo tanks while Valhaus plinks away at you from over yonder, so make sure you close distance as soon as you can. One successful way to do this is to have someone whack away on Valhaus, while the rest of you deal with the hounds (if this sounds like you heard it before, it's because you did. This is a repetitive strategy that works for most multi mob foes of this type). Turn your caring attentions on Valhaus and you should be good to go.

Stage I: Kill 60 Flagellants. Coming out of Death's Brink and heading northwest, over the hill and past the field of boars, you'll find a gathering of flagellants. If there were such thing as "born again" Sigmarites, these would be them. With the belief that only Sigmar himself can save them, they want to show their religiosity to him and make Sigmar feel welcome to return. Kill 60 of these guys, and be careful as they assault you with pamphlets and cries of "DO YOU BELEI-YAV-UH!" as they try to save you and make you believe in the good word with their "comprehension through pugilation" skill.

Stage II: 6 Prophets of Doom. For every religious cult, there must be prophets, and this is no exception. After you refuse to be saved by the false man-god and kick the fervor out of his faithful, a few of them who saw this coming "as foretold by the prophecy" (also known as "foretold by the fact that I saw a Raven host Warcamp on the other side of this hill yesterday) decide to that you really need to see the light. You'll encounter six of these Prophets of Doom, who are Champion class mobs, each accompanied by two standard "we're not worthy!" follower mobs. There's six of these guys so try to pull from ranged unless you have a large group with plenty of healing. Knock of the follower mobs first, then take the Prophet as a group. If you divide into two groups with a healer or two apiece, you can make this go faster.

Stage III: Vitzthum the Monomaniac, 2 Doomed Martyrs. Yeah, I know. You're SHOCKED that the leader of this band of religious nuts has a title like "The Monomaniac". Vitzthum is a Hero class mob and kind of fights as a Warrior Priest type. He quickly switches to beating on your healer if you're not careful, so make sure to keep him taunted well. The Doomed Martyrs (because what would a false man-god like Sigmar be without Martyrs, right?) are Champion class mobs and are pretty much just weak tank types. Your best bet is to place your tank on Vitzthum and quickly take out the Martyrs. Then everyone can jump Vitzthum and show him that there is no place for Sigmar in a world soon to be under the power of the Raven Eyed God of Change.

Stage I: Kill 40 Wilderland Trackhounds, 40 Wilds Huntsmen. This PQ is easy to find as it's right next to the road outside the Chap.4 camp. It's a large area that extends up the hill. Killing 40 huntsmen is easy as they're all over the place, but the best place to kill the Track hounds en masse is in the camp up the hill, as there seems to be more there than down below. These are both standard type mobs, so soloing the first part of this PQ is possible, just time consuming.

Stage II: Remove 20 traps from the surrounding area. And by "surrounding area" they mean the huge area that this camp resides in, both above and below. If you think you can solo this part, think again. The traps are located usually around the trees and bushes, they're not so hard to get as they're just interactable objects. There's roughly three in an area, so search closely in the surrounding area when you find one. One catch though. Every time you interact with a trap, a Champion class hunter pops and opens fire on you. Even after you kill the one, another will pop and you start allll over. With a 8 minute time limit to find, pick up, and fight the traps and the hunters, there is NO possible way to solo this part. as a matter of fact, you will need a group, possibly a Warband, to finish this quest in the allotted time given.

If you have a larger group, you can split off into two teams and do this double time. The best way to do this is to have someone click on the trap, pop the hunter, then attack the hunter while someone interacts with the trap. Otherwise, you're interrupted as another hunter pops and shoots you. Also, the regular mobs that were here in the beginning are still here, so expect to get some adds. Finding the traps is a challenge unto itself sometimes, so possibly having one person "scout" the area is another way to increase your speed.

Stage III: Derrek Frenhauf, 2 Fruenhauf Mutts. Once you've done Stages I and II probably about three times and finally complete it, Derrek Fruenhauf and his hounds come out to get in your way. Fruenhauf is a Hero class mobs and his two pooches are Champion class. He spawn down next to the first camp at the bottom of the hill, on the road to the upper camp. Once you get past Stage II, it's all downhill. Fruenhauf isn't that tough to beat if you follow the "kill the extras, then gang up on the main bad guy" strategy. Especially in this case as the hounds have an attack that can lower your DPS by about 30% and they use it often.

Loot Drops: Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.

  • Purple Loot Bag: Rank 6 weapon
  • Green Loot Bag: Rank 6 Chestplate
  • White Loot Bag: Rank 6 feet
  • Thick Glass Vial: Apothecary
  • Withered Guts : Cultivation
  • Crusted Brass Watering Can: Cultivation
  • Dusty Loam : Cultivation
  • Coins
