In Destiny, grouping up with other players is necessary if you want to complete the games most difficult and rewarding content, Raids and Nightfall Strikes. While playlists are available to group up automatically for regualar Strikes and their heroic counterparts, Raids and Nightfalls have been left off the matchmaking playlist despite a large outcry from many players.

Whether or not Bungie eventually gives in and adds it to the game is still up in the air, but in the meantime some resourceful guardians tired of waiting have taken it upon themselves to build tools and forums specifically for the purpose of grouping Destiny players together so they can complete the tougher endgame content. If you’re currently floating in orbit aimlessly, looking for a strike team to call your own, give one of these Destiny matchmaking solutions a try. Who knows, you may even find a regular group of folks you enjoy playing with and will have no use for group finders anymore.

Destiny Forums

The official Bungie Forums were the first place players swarmed when they realized there was no in game playlist for raids and nightfall strikes. Even though more efficient and fast group finding tools have become available, bungie.net is still the hub of the Destiny community and as such, is the best place to look for a more permanent grouping solution like a clan.

Just head to the recruitment forum and filter for Raiding clans to find a list of the ones currently looking for members.

Destiny Fireteams SubReddit

While it’s a little low tech compared to some of the other options, it nevertheless get’s the job done. To look for a group or make one of your own, you’ll need to make a Reddit account before hand. After that, head to the Fireteam SubReddit and set the filter to “new” to get the latest results. You’ll then get the list of the latest fire team requests from users and can post your own using the button on the right.

That’s not all Reddit has to offer Destiny fans however. To get a more immediate response you can use the IRC channel. Just give yourself a username and you can begin making raid plans with all the other guardians in the room.

DestinyLFG.NEt

Arguably the most popular, but without a doubt the easiest tool for finding a group fast and getting the job done. Once you land on the site you’ll have access to a never-ending stream of Destiny players looking for groups or looking to add to their own groups. This list can be filtered by region, console and activity to narrow down your search results for that perfect fit.

Starting your own group is just as easy. Expand the “Post My Group” module at the top of the page and then fill out the fields with your gamername, console, and activity. Hit save and your message will be sent off for other ambitious Guardians to find. You can get started at DestinyLFG.net.
