Nordland and Norsca

Nordland

Constant
sea raids from the
Northmen who hail across the Sea of Claws have taught many hard lessons
to the people of Nordland. More than any other subjects of the Empire,
the Nordlanders know what it means to live under the shadow of Chaos.
The Northmen who attack their shores worship the Dark Gods above all
others, and every repelled assault leave corpses covered with profane
symbols to be burned.

style="font-weight: bold;">Grimmenhagen
Village
style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0); font-weight: bold;">

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Set in the southern most portion of
Nordland, Grimmenhagen Village serves as the starting point for all
newly created Empire characters. The forces of Chaos are assaulting the
village from every side, and it is up to you to aid the Order of the
Griffon in their efforts. Your first stop will be style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Viktor Riese
who offers your first
quests in this area. Rally Master style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Eldred
Krebs is steps away to guide you in the local Public Quest.
Upstairs in the building to the east is the local tavern with plenty of
interesting people to talk to. A style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Griffon
Sergeant offers up style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">The Guns
of Nordenwatch quest, which will guide you into the first RvR
Scenario.

Across the fields to the north, style="color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Cuthbert watches
over the cannons atop an overlook. style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Alrin
Bitterstone is by a small cottage in the fields. The style="font-weight: bold;">Grimmenhagen
Windmill stands at the edge of a dark forest full of spiders and
Chaos
soldiers. An elf in the forest needs your help attending to the
wounded. Caemris
Sharpspear
,
the Kill Collector, offers repeatable quests with a little experience
gained.

Don't miss the Grimmenhagen Barrows
west of here against the mountains,
with some undead creatures, and a surprise boss mob waiting for those
that can trigger him.

style="font-weight: bold;">Grimmenhagen Farm

This poor farm is the site of the href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/40858"> style="font-style: italic;">Raven Host Vanguard
Public
Quest. The grain fields outside the manor house play host to swarms of
Chaos enemies, as you progress through this 3 Stage Quest. This is the
only Public Quest in the area, so plan to stay for a few runs in order
to earn the maximum amount of Influence for this Chapter.

East of the farm, through the pig filled forest is a circular valley
called Murder Wood. The
Gorehorn creatures here give out some decent experience and loot. In
the center of their camp is an item that will give you a Tome of
Knowledge unlock pertinent to the area.

On your way out of Murder Wood,
look beneath a tree to find a style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Jug of Corn
Whiskey, which gives a fun sidequest.

style="color: rgb(255, 204, 51);">Grey Lady Coaching
Inn

href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/43558"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/43558/preview" border="0"
width="250">

The Inn
sits at a crossroads, and
is the next major hub after leaving Grimmenhagen Village. Rally Master style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Werner Fassbinder

is the point of contact for the Chapter 2 set of Public Quests. style="color: rgb(255, 255, 153); font-weight: bold;">Cedred Lankdorf
will heal your death trauma, while several scattered NPCs are available
for crafting training. style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Edwin Hulsemann
is the local Kill Collector. Standing outside the Inn is style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Bountyman
Krakstein who sells Renown gear; partcipate in the RvR scenarios
to gain access to more and better items. Walk upstairs into the Inn to
find several more citizens to speak with, who may be of need.

To the northwest, a giant windmill can be spotted. This area is the
first Public Quest in Chapter 2: style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">The Burning Windmill.
In three stages you will fight the magical Seekers and their Horrors,
culminating in a fight with 2 Boss mobs. From the Windmill, head west
past the mountains, where you will find style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">The Ruins of Schloss
von Rubendorff, the second Public Quest in Chapter 2. Unlike
earlier PQs, this area is quite large, and the PQ objectives are spread
throughout the castle grounds.

From Rubendorff, head North down the path where you can aid the
displaced former residents of Schloss von Rubendorff. Continue down to
the beach area, and find the last Public Quest in Chapter 2, style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">The Norse Are Coming.
Take a moment to appreciate the view as you stand on the beach,
watching the Norse Dragonships sail in to do battle.

style="color: rgb(255, 204, 51);">Arnholdt's Company Warcamp

With the western side of Nordland conquered, it is time to head into
the more dangerous eastern area. The road heading east from Grey Lady
Coaching Inn will lead you to the Arnhold's Company Warcamp. You are on
the brink of open RvR areas, now, so it's time to be a little more
careful where you run. style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Lieutenant Boen
Scharmdorf
, a Kill Collector, stands just inside the gates to
the camp. General
Breuer
is the Rally Master for Chapter 3, and stands near a
massive piece of siege machinery. The lower level hosts a merchant,
skill trainer and healer.

href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/43557"> src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/43557/preview" border="0"
width="250">

Up the path to the hilltop, you will find
the meat of the operation. Many of the camp residents will offer quests
for the surrounding area and across into other lands. Flightmaster style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Nalgan Bazstenson
is on the west side of the hilltop, and will arrange transport to the
Dwarf and High Elf camps. style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Reginald Vance

can train you in the special skills earned from obtaining Renown Ranks,
while Bountymen
Lipschultz
and style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Cohen
sell the Renown-earned gear.

South of the Warcamp you'll pass through style="font-weight: bold;">Traitors Crossing, a small
encampment of Sigmar converts headed by style="color: rgb(255, 255, 153); font-weight: bold;">Sigmarite Acolyte.
Quests here will lead you to nearby camp of Crazed Flagellants and
Repenters, and a wandering Champion class mob. East of here is first of
the Chapter 3 Public Quests. style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Faewulf's Rest
is in the spooky ruins of an ancient tribe that liked to play with
magical stones. Around the nearby lake, a camp of Darkwood Bandits
provide lots of killing fun, while another Champion class mob likes to
sneak up on adventurers. Up against the mountain side, a cave houses a
bunch of nasty spiders and style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">The Webworks
Public Quest.

Back towards the road to the north, the final Public Quest for Chapter
3 can be found. Pillager's
Approach
is a run down fort with a bunch of inexperienced
conscripts, that are all that defends the area from the Chaos enemies
that wander a little further down the road to the north.

style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0); font-weight: bold;"> style="color: rgb(255, 204, 51);">Ravenraid

Following
the road north east will lead you through the area known as Ravenraid.
Stick to the path here, as the areas on either side are Chaos
territory, with their War Camp close by. Prepare yourself, as further
down this road lies a new zone for you to explore. Crossing under two
giant stone sentinels that look down on the path will bring you into
the Chaos homeland, Norsca.

style="font-weight: bold;">

Norsca

For
those who view the rough but fertile country of Nordland as a
frightening wilderness, Norsca seems like the heart of the Chaos Wastes
itself. In reality, Norsca is a vast wilderness on the border of
Kislev, but much of the southern border has been civilized, after a
fashion. Norsca still remains a dangerous and untamed land, but for
those who respect its dangers, it is frontier to be explored where
adventurers can earn their fortunes.

style="font-weight: bold;">Gotland Advance style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0); font-weight: bold;">

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">A creaking windmill anchors this
only Empire encampment in the Norsca zone. Next to the mailbox is style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Captain Kleinke
who is in charge here as the Rally Master for Empire Chapter 4. style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Esmarelda
Fleischer offers career training, and Katarine Meyer is ready
with her merchant services. A healer is around the back of the
windmill, next to Kill Collector style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);"> Thomas Schmidt
who offers repeatable bounty hunting experience.

Remember to reset your Rally Point here, as you'll spend lots of time
running back and forth to complete the quests offered by soldier style="color: rgb(255, 255, 153); font-weight: bold;"> Ludwig Eberhardt,
Aldric
Ohrsten
and style="color: rgb(255, 255, 153); font-weight: bold;">Quartermaster
Nachtman.

Just outside the camp border north, is an area full of  boars,
sprites, and a nasty Dryad the pops up near a pond. The forest east of
the road is full of Brigands and wolves, which you will manuever around
to complete several quests, including a search for 3 missing chests
(hint: read the quest directions well).

style="font-weight: bold;">Gotland Forest style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

Following the road north will bring you fully into Gotland Forest. A
small path off the road to the east brings you into style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Altar of the Bloodbane
,
the first Public Quest in Chapter 4. Further up and against the
mountains, the local spiders roam a cavern known as style="font-weight: bold;">Spindekraken. Just outside and close
to the road, abunch of angry Norse Invaders have set up camp, and are
holding some of your allies hostage. Hiding behind some rocks in the
back of the camp, style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 153);">Steinarr Heimdal
wants your help to rescue them.

style="font-weight: bold;">Ulfenwyr style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

A burning village has been overrun by nurglings and Norsemen, and you
can help by participating in the style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Ulfenwyr
Public
Quest. If you can brave your way through the village and up the hill,
you'll arrive at the former Gotland
village. Full of disease and plague, and Chaos followers, you can
rescue the villagers and disrupt the dark rites in the style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Pit of Forsaken
Public Quest. Bring friends to this one, though, as the final mob is a
Lord class monster.
