Worms nest along the hillsides rimming the southern border, and the
Roosting Tree, just above the D in PEND on the map, is home to a fairly
large swarm of crebain.

the only one not to be appropriated by half-orcs or Dunlending thugs.

Description: The southern stretch
of the once-great road that joined the Noldorin kingdom to the Dwarves
of Khazad-dum. The gates leading to the Walls of Moria lie just beside
the elf-camp called Echad Dunnan. The Walls of Moria is an instanced
world space - while engaged in Volume II Book 1, there are lots of NPCs
in here, but once Book 1 is completed it's pretty much abandoned by
anything civilized, and the instanced caves are no longer active.

Description: The site of an

snowy ruckus to block the high passes and forced the fellowship to
instead brave the depths of Moria. The high pass is still
impassable, and the frozen heights are swarming with snow-beasts, grims
and vicious sabretooth cats, so Moria is still the only way to reach
Rhovanion.
