TOWNS AND QUEST HUBS

These are the towns, camps and other assorted places where
players can pick up quests. Level range describes the optimum level
range for XP gain. Important NPCs are those who bestow quest chains or
are crucial to the epic storyline, with position coordinates listed if
located outside the main hub. Description is a broad guideline of what
to expect from each quest hub without going into too specific of detail.

The
bubblegum sky might lead you to believe that the land of Eregion is
soft. It is not.

OST FOROD

Level Range: 34 - 35

Important NPCs: Parr Chopley,
Robin Dunkley, Ballard Wilmer, Spring Standish, Clark Standish, Basil
Gummidge, Rowena Parker, Poppy Seaton

Town Services

  • Healer
  • Grocer & Provisioner
  • Supplier

  • Stable-master (Oatbarton, Dwaling, High King's Crossing,
    Tinudir,
    Trestlebridge, West Bree, Kauppa-Kohta, Pynti-Peldot, Suri-Kyla)

Description: A fairly large
settlement populated by
a mix of the Free People and the Tomb-raiders who are looting the
hillside ruins surrounding the place. Many of the friends of these
unfriendly folk have even shiftier friends who have earned bounties for
their crimes - look around town for posters, billboards and fliers
advertising these bounties and go collect 'em. Be aware that when Parr
Chopley sends you out looking for boars in Evendim, it's a fool's
errand. Complete the other quests and let that one time out, finding
not one single boar, then go back and tell him he will not be having a
plate of tasty barbecue ribs.

  • Boat-keeper (the Eavespires, Men Erain, Tyl Ruinen)

Description: The central hub of Evendim, a
ranger camp
run by Calenglad, has seen a big boost in population lately. Town
services are expanded, the Wardens of Annuminas reputation barterers
have more cool stuff for those with standing, and the boat-keeper can
send players to multiple points across the lake. While there still may
be some places on the map that require a bit of a dogpaddle, Everswim
is no longer the Ironman triathlon it once was - more of a regatta now.
Arnorian coins from quest rewards can be redeemed here for
class-specific armor sets at the keep here - level 32 sets that can be
purchased solely with the barter coins, and level 36 sets that are
partly earned by questing.

The
elves call him Stretch. The other ents call him Shortie.

Town Services

  • Bowyer

  • Boat-keeper (Tinnudir, Men Erain, Tyl Ruinen)

Description: A couple of elves
and their ent friend
have a few quest chains for the hills surrounding their camp. These
guys have a bone to pick with all the big dogs on the west coast: the
gauredain, the giants and the wood-trolls.

The rope goes up to Elendil's crotch.

Town Services

  • Provisioner
  • Mailbox
  • Milestone
  • Healer
  • Stable-master (Oatbarton, Dwaling, Tinnudir, Ost Forod)

Description: Tucked away between
the legs of the
river-straddling statue of Elendil, this newly-established ranger camp
has absorbed some of the old quests out of Tinnudir and added a number
of new ones. The awesome part: for one of the quests, you get to climb
a rope up into Elendil's crotch.

hobbits of Dwaling are forced to all cram into one single hobbit-house.
Luckily, they're really small.

OATBARTON & DWALING

Level Range: 30 - 32

Important NPCs: Nod Gardener, Bob
Proudfoot, Fenric
Banks, Ponto Oats, Bungo Grubb, Albin Northcotton, Mundaric Sandheaver,
Bob Greeneaves, Hob Hillbrow, Ronald Dwale

    King's Crossing, Tinnudir, Ost Forod)
  • Stable-master - Dwaling (Oatbarton, High King's Crossing,
    Tinnudir, Ost Forod)

Description: The hobbits of
Bullroarer's Sward are
in a real tizzy.  The folk from Northcotton Farm have gone
missing, leaving the place eerily empty. Spiders and wolves are
threatening the farms and surrounding hills, goblins are encamped on
their doorsteps and the tomb-raiders that have begun combing the ruins
in the north have run the hobbits of Dwaling right out of their houses.

Keep
in mind, they got all this stuff here BEFORE there were boats across
the lake. The Dunedain are hardcore.

ECHAD GARTHADIR

Level Range: 49 - 52

Important NPCs: Adadhrond,
Badhordham, Eirieniel, Calaneth, Fainneleg, Captain-General Daerdan,
Dannassel

Town Services

  • Summoning horn
  • Campfire
  • Milestone
  • Supplier & Provisioner
  • Healer
  • Barter Vendors
  • Stable-master (Tinnudir)

Description: The rangers' staging
point is smack
dab in the middle of Annuminas. Besides weathering the occasional
charge of Gorthorog trolls, the Dunadan are busy dealing with the
Angmarim attempting to ninja all their phat lewts from the sunken
ruins. The stable-master here requires fairly high standing with the
Wardens of Annuminas, but the other option is a marathon swim across
the lake. The Angmarim around Annuminas drop barter tokens that can be
traded here for level 50 armor and some other cool stuff, or they can
be redeemed for skirmish marks at any skirmish camp.

Rangering
is a lonely business.

MISCELLANEOUS

Level Range: varies

Important NPCs:
Torogether (10.3S, 60.0W), Men Erain (15.4S, 66.2W), Humfrey
Rumming, Lugethir (11.7S, 72.0W)

Town Services:  None

Description: Torogether is
watching the pass into
the Fields of Fornost and the ruins of Ost Heryn directly across the
road. A camp of rangers at Men Erain need help keeping the road to
Annuminas clear of dangerous kergrim and tomb-robbers. Humfrey Rumming
is an insane weirdo with a penchant for cruel riddles, and
Lugethir the ranger would like for you to kill everything on his
horrible island. You'd be turned into a violent psychopath too if you
had to spend that much time with Humfrey Rumming.
