Battle of the Deep Way

Battle of the Deep Way src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/172613" checked="true">

Location: The Water-works, 13.6S, 112.0W

Type: Skirmish - Solo, Duo, Small
Fellowship, Fellowship, Raid (12)

Level: 55 + (must be on, or have
completed, Epic Volume II Book 5 Chapter 5)

Description: Bori's failed raid upon
Zabadgathol has brought the wrath of the Orcs down upon
the dwarves. The encampment at the Deep-way faces a
terrible onslaught from Mazog's horde. Are the Longbeards
strong enough to face the challenge?

Description:  This skirmish follows the
same pattern as the other two Moria battle-skirmishes: barricades
are attacked and must be defended against waves of attackers, two
encounters spawn in at random during or between assaults, and it
ends with a boss fight. Like the other Moria skirmishes, there are
battle standards at each of the stations, and the player can carry
one of each color in his inventory - save them for the boss fight
at the end, and then use 'em all.

This skirmish used to be a private battle-instance joined at the
reflecting pool in the Twenty-first Hall, and it was a giant pain
in the butt. Now that it can be soloed, scales to the player's
level and rewards Skirmish Marks, it's still somewhat painful but
altogether better than it was in days of yore, and much less of an
impediment to completing the epic books.
