Overview

There are two daily zones you can complete in WildStar: Crimson Badlands and Northern Wastes. In this guide, we’ll provide you with a complete Walkthrough of the latter in order to quickly complete all the quests.

The purpose of undertaking daily quests is to obtain additional experience to cap your Elder Gems. Doing this then allows you to earn additional money (once you’re Elder Gem capped) and by maximising your Elder Gems, you’ll also be able to purchase some fancy items (such as AMP or Ability Tier points). Lastly, undertaking daily quests provides you with Faction Reputation which you need in order to become Attuned.

The Location

Firstly, you need to travel to Northern Wastes via the transport ship. You can do this from your Faction's capital city (Spaceport Alpha besides the Taxi in Illium or Space Port Horizon in Thayd). If you’re Dominion, you will arrive at Camp Icefury and if you’re Exile, you’ll arrive at Darkstone’s Landing. In total there are three quest hubs you’ll navigate to, irrespective of Faction, and you should aim to complete every quest in each of them. In total it’ll take you around 90 minutes but if you group for it, as little as 30. Please note that you can only accept quests from your Factions hubs: attempting to enter an opposing Factions quest hub will result in you being killed by the enemy guards.

The Quests

Regardless of Faction, the vast majority of the daily quests are the same. As a result and especially on a PvP server, you’re forced to quest alongside the opposing Faction (it’s up to you whether you want to kill them!). The only difference is that the first Faction quests you receive will send you immediately next to your own camp, before sending you into the centre of Northern Wastes. Are you Exile? Dominion

Camp Icefury

  • General Tusk: Grim Scavenging
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Grim Scavenging is a super easy quest and simply requires you to kill the Exile Augmented humanoids while also collecting the Cold Survival Kit’s that they are protecting. The Augmented humanoids spawn immediately outside Camp Icefury and lead all the way out of the starting area, leading to Ghostpyre Plains. Each Augmented humanoid you kill will fill anywhere from 4 to 8% meaning you’ll have to kill around 16 in total. Where the Cold Survival Kit’s are concerned, each one collected fills your quest meter by 13%.

  • General Tusk: Rescue Party
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

The easiest of all the starting quests in Northern Wastes is in two parts. The first requires you to interact with Missing Explorers. You’ll need to interact with a total of 4 in order to reach 100% and rather than press the “F” key at precise times to revive them, I’d recommend you just press F twice. It’ll cause you to become disabled but you’ll still revive the Explorer. Most importantly, it’s quicker than playing the mini-game.

Once you’ve woken up the Explorers you’ll need to head down into the bowl (below Camp Icefury) and to the east. There’s a cliff face that you can climb with an interactable Snow Mound that reveals the missing DRED Agent.

  • General Tusk: Establishing Base Perimeters
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Another quick and easy quest which requires you to interact with two types of objects: Security Cameras and Camp Icefury Defense Turrets. You’ll need to interact with 4 Cameras and 4 Turrets. They both tend to be next to one another and are immediately south of Camp Icefury. As indicated on the image above, the Red dots are the Turrets and the Blue dots are the Cameras.

Once you’ve interacted with all the Cameras and Turrets you’ll need to head east for a Hold Out event. All you need to do is interact with the Flare on the floor and defeat the 5 waves of Augmented Humanoids and the KE-64 Brute.

  • Anonius Nelles: Tame the Wastes
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

This quest, similarly to that in Crimson Badlands, requires you to locate 3 individuals. It’s best to complete this as a by-product of accepting other quests as each individual you’re locating is a new quest hub. Kadu Fizz is the first you’ll encounter and provides 3 additional quests, followed by Lucretia Marius (3 quests) and Nydra (3 quests)

  • Kadu Fizz: Disarming The Enemy
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Near Kadu Fizz (mainly on the path) are Exile Mine’s. All you have to do is interact with them and you’ll receive 12% contribution, requiring 8 in total. Super easy. If you're Exile, the Dominion Mine's are just to the West of the map, opposite Dominik Kaspukov.

  • Kadu Fizz: Frozen Assets
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Also another super easy quest is Frozen Assets. If you bring up your map you’ll see a selection of targets indicating where the Assets are. Just approach them and press “T” to freeze them. Each Asset you freeze provides 13% contribution so you’ll need to locate around 7 in total. If you're Exile, the Frozen Assets tend to be in the same place or a little further to the West past Ghostpyre Plains.

  • Kadu Fizz: Moodie Mash
  • Rewards: 123,750 Elder Points, 112 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 112 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Besides the Frozen Assets and Exile Mines are Ghostpyre Moodies and their Risen Spirits. Just kill any of them that you see with most of them grouping together in 2’s and 3’s. You’ll receive 4 to 6% contribution per kill so it’s incredibly quick and easy, primarily because they deal so little damage. If you're Exile, you can kill the Moodies in this location as well.

  • Lucretia Marius: Frozen Dinners
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

To the North East of Lucretia in Coldburrow Village are Skeech which have stolen some Supplies. You can either interact with the Supply Crates on the floor which provide a 16% contribution or you can kill the Skeech who provide 4% when you loot them. In terms of speed I’d recommend just finding the Supply Crates which are randomly scattered around.

Once you’ve collected the Supply Crates, you’ll need to interact with a Signal Flare to the north of Coldburrow Village to defend 3 Supply Crates. There’s 4 waves of Skeech in total and they all die incredibly quickly.

  • Lucretia Marius: Icy Enlightenment
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

To the North East of Coldburrow Village is Coldburrow Cavern. Inside your body temperature will decrease over time, so you need to stand near campfires. Once in the cave just head all the way inside and to the Skeech campfire.

When you’re at the campfire your quest will progress and you’ll need to kill the Rime Hide Shaman. All you then have to do is loot their corpses for their staves. The percentage contribution is relatively high, with each Shaman providing well over 10% so it only takes a handful of kills before you’ll reach 100%. After receiving all the staves you then need to head back to the same Skeech Rim Hide Fire Pit. Doing this will summon a boss that you have to kill.

  • Lucretia Marius: A New God
  • 82,500 Elder Points, 2 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Littering the cave are various Eldan Pylons. Each one you interact with provides 16% contribution towards your quest total, meaning you have to use around 6 in total to complete the quest.

  • Nydra: They’ll Thank You Later
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Inside Exo-Lab 729 (at the top of the stairs in front of Nydra) are DRED Agents trapped inside Eldan chambers. You simply need to interact with them to set them free, with each Agent providing a 10% contribution. By the time you’ve opened a couple the original ones you interacted with will have respawned so you can turn back around and start again.

  • Nydra: Eldan Eradication
  • Rewards: 123,750 Elder Points, 112 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 112 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Inside the same room where you complete “They’ll Thank You Later” you need to kill the Eldan Constructs. Whether it’s the KE-Watcher’s, Enhancers or Guardian’s: any will suffice. Each kill provides a 2 to 4% increment on your total, but as they group up close together it’s easy to burn them down in a matter of minutes.

  • Nydra: Timely Observations
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

As a last quest, Timely Observations requires you to extract samples from dead Augmented Exiles. The Augmented Exiles are humaoid and stand next to the Eldan Constructs. Just kill them and then click on the Augmented Exile, before pressing “T”. You need 8 in total.

Exile

Darkstone's Landing

  • Ashlii Moonwind: Tame the Wastes
  • Reward: Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Exactly the same as the Dominion variant, you simply have to locate the 3 quest givers and their hubs. Just as with the Dominion quest line, I'd recommend you simply complete this quest as a by-product of playing your dailies. It's an easy set of rewards.

  • Captain Darkstone: Establishing Base Perimeters
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Very similar to the Dominion version under the same name, Establishing Base Perimeters has three phases. The first phase is to activate Landing Site Security Cams and Landing Site Defense Turrets. These are scattered in similar formations to the Dominion quest line and simply require you to interact with them (4 Cams and 4 Turrets).

During the second phase you need to Disable the Security Beacon. You do this by interacting with the Beacon just south of Darkstone's Landing. Finally, the third phase requires you to Defend Against Intruders. This is a hold out event (similar to the Dominion) with multiple waves you need to kill, including a final boss. It's relatively easy and any class is capable of soloing it.

  • Captain Darkstone: Grim Scavenging
  • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

Exactly the same as the Dominion version, Grim Scavenging requires you to kill the Exile Augmented Creatures while also collecting the Cold Survival Kit’s that they are protecting. The Augmented Creatures spawn immediately outside Darkstone's Landing and lead all the way out of the starting area, leading to Crash Site. Each Augmented Creature you kill will fill anywhere from 4 to 8% meaning you’ll have to kill around 16 in total. Where the Cold Survival Kit’s are concerned, each one collected fills your quest meter by 13%.

    • Captain Darkstone: Rescue Party
    • Rewards: 82,500 Elder Points, 75 Crimson Badlands Reputation, 75 Faction Reputation, 1 Elder Gem (if not capped)

There are a total of 3 phases to Rescue Party and all three are the same as Dominion. The first is to search for and revive missing Explorers. These are immediately outside Darkstone's Landing and require you to interact with the Explorers on the floor. Once you've done this, you then need to search for Nooks Barkbiter. He's to the far east of Darkstone's Landing and north of Crash Site. Lastly, once you've found him you need to kill the Colossal Terror that spawns.

The remainder of all Exile tasks are shared with Dominion. Jump to the Dominion section now to finish the last of your dailies, once you've completed Tame the Wastes!
