Let's face it, we spend a lot of time in our Garrisons. Between gathering herbs, mining ore, and sending Followers out on missions, we put in a lot of time in this location. As such, many of us have been clamoring for ways to customize it. Patch 6.1 answers that call in a very unusual way; music.

Patch 6.1 introduces the Garrison Jukebox. The Jukebox will allow you to determine the tunes you are listening to as you complete your tasks around your Garrison. The Jukebox is built by Goblins (Horde) or Gnomes (Alliance) and has the ability to project the music of your choice around the entirety of your Garrison. This is a blessing for those that have just about had enough of listening to the same old music while making your rounds. Better yet, visitors to your Garrison can also hear you new tunes!

Your Jukebox runs off Music Rolls, each holding a select bit of music. With that being said, do not expect to jam out to Music Rolls of Lady Gaga or Rob Zombie anytime soon. Instead, players will be choosing from various pieces of music from the old world such as “Stormwind”, “Night Song”, and Way of the Monk”. Want to get a Garrison Jukebox for your own personal Garrison? Read onward to find out how.

Obtaining the Garrison Jukebox

Inside your Garrison a new NPC will now be lurking near your Town Hall, a Goblin named Drix Bassbolter for Horde players and a Gnome for Alliance. To bring some new jams to your Garrison speak to this NPC and accept the quest “Bringing the Bass”. This quest will send you in search of various parts to put your Jukebox together. The parts you need to collect for the quest are:

  • Bass Blaster – On ground, near the Ring of Blood, in Nagrand (57,11).
  • Laz-Tron Disc Reader – Inside a small house, near Pinchwistle Point, in the Spires of Arak (55,90).
  • Phonic Amplifier – Drop from Stalwart Warden, mechanical mobs found in Skettis, Spires of Arak (54,14).
  • S.P.R.K Capacitor – Drop from Iron Shredder in Talador (59,28).
  • Cord of Ancient Wood – Dropped from Lumbering Ancients in the Everbloom Wilds, Gorgrond.

After all the pieces have been collected you can return to your Garrison and complete the quest. This will reward you with your Jukebox and a Stash of Duty Music Rolls. The Stash contains seven faction specific Music Rolls that will immediately be available in your Jukebox for play.

Garrison Jukebox – Music Rolls

Want a wider selection of music? No problem! Players looking for more varied tunes can collect different Music Rolls. New Music Rolls can be found all over, with hints to their locations coming from the same NPC that gave you the quest to build your Jukebox. Some examples of hints for new Music Rolls are:

  • Music Roll: The Black Temple – Up for a journey into the Black Temple? You still wont' be prepared for the hard hitting bass of the track you find.
  • Music Roll: War March – Feeling a song of War? Domination Point in Pandaria used to shake with heavy drum beats.

For the most part, the hints are easy to figure out and picking up new Music Rolls is a very simple process. Music Rolls can be looted, bought from vendors, or even dropped from bosses.
