Assault on Socrethar's Rise Overview

The Assault on Socrethar's Rise is one of the random daily quests that you can pick up from inside your Garrison's Town Hall. This quest sends you on a mission to take care of Socrathar's disciples who are posing a threat all over Draenor. They cannot be allowed to gain a foothold. It is up to you to launch an assault on the Sargerei forces here and take care of this threat.

Location

This daily quest takes place in the southern portion of Shadowmoon Valley. Alliance should easily be able to reach this location by taking the Socrethar's Rise flight path. Horde players who have yet to access this zone can reach it easily do so by taking the road out of eastern Talador.

Assault on Socrethar's Rise Progress

As you enter the quest area a bar entitled “Socrethar's Rise Disrupted” will appear on your screen. This bar will gauge your progress towards the completion of your assault. The bar starts out empty at 0%, to complete the quest players will need to raise the bar to 100%. The Assault on Socrethar's Rise is one of the most straight forward quests when it comes to increasing your progress percentage with just two simple ways to do so:

Kill Mobs

Killing any of the mobs in this area will reward a percentage increass. Mobs that are more difficult and with more health will provide the most progression. For example, minibosses like Demidos and Lady Temptessa give a huge 25%. Remember, only mobs inside the quest zone will count. Step outside of it even just a little and the mob may or may not count towards your progress.

Demonic Portals

All around this area you will see Demonic Portals. They are purple spires that come out of the ground and they can't really be missed. Destroying them will give you a large progression percentage boost. These portals are typically surrounded by two or three mobs that will likely need to be taken out before you can go about detroying the portal. Once the portal is clear, right click on it to stomp it into oblivion.

Related Reputation

Players completing this daily quest will notice that they earn small amounts of reputation with the Council of Exarachs. Remember, reputation may only be earned from level 100 mobs. Mobs outside of the quest area may or may not reward reputation with this particular faction.

Obtainable Buffs

Demonic Gems

These plates of glowing gems can be found around the quest area. Right click on them to knock them over and scatter gem dust. This dust will provide you with a short buff that increases your Multistrike chance by 20%.

Fruit Basket

Even evil Draenei have to eat and so you will find various Fruit Baskets around the area. Not only will you get a full tummy, eating from these baskets will give you a buff that increases your regeneration for a short period of time.

Supply Crate

Supply Crates are another item that players may come across while roaming this area. These crates are filled with Shadowblade Oil and provide you with a buff. This buff increases the Shadow damage of all your spells and attacks.

Filled Draenic Flask

If you happen upon one of these flasks, drink it for a short term buff. These flasks increase Haste and movement speed by 15% for 2 minutes.

Rewards

Players who complete this quest can turn it back in at their Garrison for a whopping 800 Apexis Crystals.

Achievements

While completing the Assault on Socrethar's Rise quest, players will have the chance to complete several achievements:

  • A Demidos of Reality – Defeat Demidos, Devourer of Lights in Socrethar's Rise.
  • It's the Stones! - Destroy 5 Draenic Darkstones in Socrethar's Rise.
  • Take From Them Everything – Maintain one of the beneficial effects from destroying Sargerei supplies for 10 minutes in Socrethar's Rise.
