Healing is one of the hardest jobs in World of Warcraft. To make the job a tiny bit easier and make sure they are performing to the best of their ability, healers often rely on addons for that little extra something. Which addons are the must haves in Warlords of Dreanor? We took a look at many addons that assist healers and picked the best from the pack. Our top five picks can be found below:

Deadly Boss Mods

Tried and true, Deadly Boss Mods has managed to withstand the test of time, for good reason; it totally rocks. With over 85,000,000 downloads, DBM has been the go to boss mod addon for players since it was first released. The same manages to hold true in Warlords of Dreanor.

While DBM is great for any player, it is absolutely essential for healers in WoD. Providing you with timers, warnings, and more, DBM allows you to decide which heals to use, which cooldowns are needed, and what type of damage might be incoming. This ensures that are constantly prepared and ready to heal, no matter what an encounter throws at you. Even better, DBM is constantly being updated to keep you playing your best. Not to mention the fact that DBM is useful even if you decide to change your spec!

Deadly Boss Mobs is extra special to us because it is our own personal baby and we are very proud of it.  Download the core mod here.

Recount

Another tried and true addon on the list, Recount may be old, but it is far from washed up. While it won't help you in a fight, it will help you to improve yourself as a healer. Displaying current HPS and DPS, as well as a ton of other pertinent information, this addon is extremely handy.

As you healer, you can quickly browse through the numbers and determine important information such as; overhealing, damage taken, and who you (and the other healers around you) healed the most. From here you can tweak and tune your healing to new levels. Recount also displays the numbers for other healers around you, an important feature to allow you to create synergy with your healing team.

GTFO

Healing takes a lot of concentration. Sometimes so much so that you forget to watch what is under you own two feet. Of course a dead healer helps no one, so the goal is to stay alive. To help you on the journey of prolonged life is GTFO. This handy lightweight addon gives you a jolting notification when you are standing in any harmful effect or making other mistakes.

Sure, boss mods do some of the same, but often times these are easily missed or ignored. Let me assure you, you won't be able to ignore the warning from GTFO. This addon will have you moving your bum out of the bad in a hurry and staying alive longer.

Omen Threat Meter

Omen Threat Meter does exactly what you would expect, keeps you in the know about your current threat. This helps you to refrain from pulling mobs from tanks which is almost always a good thing. With that being said, threat has hardly been a problem in Warlords so this addon almost didn't make the list.

However, knowing your current threat percentage is still pretty useful, even if you have no chance of pulling hate. Also, threat may eventually become something healers need to be focused on once again, so being familiar with it is useful. With all this in mind, there is no better addon than Omen Threat Meter to do the job.

TellMeWhen

TellMeWhen is one of those addons that you didn't know you needed until you have it. As a healer, you have a lot to pay attention to. Besides worrying about health bars and boss abilities, you also have to be very aware of your own spell casting, cooldowns, buffs, and debuffs. While it can be managed, it can get crazy. To make your life easier, TellMeWhen was created.

TellMeWhen provides visual, audio, and text notifications about cooldowns, buffs, debuffs, diminishing returns, and more. With a super easy to learn interface, TellMeWhen is easy to use and extremely lightweight. Even better, with loads of customization, each healer can modify this addon to suit their individual needs.

Decursive

Almost every healer can remove a curse, poison, or other negative effect. This can get kind of crazy when you are trying to fill up health bars and avoid being destroyed by an angry mob. Often times taking these debuffs off can get downright neglected, which makes more healing for you in the long run. Decursive is the answer to this problem. The description of the addon says it the best: “Decursive is a cleansing mod intended to make affliction removal easy, effective, and fun for all the classes having this ability.”. Get it. Now.

Do you use any of these addons? Which addons would you consider essential for healers in this expansion?
