Update: ArenaNet apparently got a little too excited and outed some future plans with this update. Game Director Colin Johanson posted an update to the Guild Wars 2 forums after the release to explain that a couple of the items are actually still in testing and will be coming in a future update sometime after the May 14th update. The two items specifically mentioned relate to the open world Culling and WvW. Johanson also explained that the jumping puzzle in the Eternal Battlegrounds WvW map will be split off into its own map so that players looking to do the puzzle won't be counted in the EB population..

Original Story: ArenaNet launched the final update in the Guild Wars 2 Flame & Frost series around a week ago and already the developer is nearing the release of its next update with The Secret of Southsun. The update kicks off a new Living Story as the merchants and traders of The Consortium give refuge to the refugees driven away by the Molten Alliance, but when the refugees begin to feel more like prisoners than guests, an uprising seems imminent.

The Secret of Southsun, like previous updates, will also include new features and content such as traps in WvW, a new game with Crab Toss, the end of Culling in the living world. Culling was removed previously in WvW, but it’s getting ousted in the PvE world now as well.

Guild Wars 2 The Secret of Southsun is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013.
