Guild Wars 2 Invitation Only Closed Beta Starts Friday

ArenaNet officially revealed the final Guild Wars 2 class today with the mesmer, but more juicy details have followed. According to a post from ArenaNet on Reddit, Guild Wars 2 will officially head to closed beta this Friday. Unfortunately, the closed beta will not be open to the public (essentially its a friends and family type beta) and will be under an NDA, so don’t expect to hear too much. But the good news is that this means the closed beta is getting underway and public testing could be coming perhaps sometime early 2012.

We will officially enter Closed Beta Testing this Friday. It will be marked with an increase in our pool of testers. To clarify, this phase of testing is still under NDA and is not open to the public.
