  • Parrot and Eye-Patches, what could go wrong?
A Pirates of the Burning Sea developer's log has been posted at the official site. After a long and brutal sword fight we came away with information that lead to this:

"To talk about skills, first we have to talk about archetypes. One of our goals has always been to ensure that we had interesting and useful things for every ship to do, so that choosing a sloop or a cutter wasn't automatically a poor decision, and so that rated ships were not the only worthwhile choice in the game. We feared the world implied by ensuring everyone had the potential to sail powerful ships - inevitably, the West Indies would be wall-to-wall 74s. We sat down to ask ourselves some questions about how we saw combat being structured, and after a lot of back and forth, we came up with five possible roles that ships could play in a fight: Scouts, hunters, dreadnoughts, support, and siege."

  • Finally! A game where I can go out and work in a field.
MMORPG.com has posted an interview with Gilles Zedde regarding Dark and Light. One guy was asking questions. One guy was answering. It was all so confusing, but we are pretty sure at least some of this was written:

"We sit down for the second in our series of bi-weekly Q&As with the team behind Dark & Light. This week we discuss a range of issues, and include two exclusive screenshots of the game!"

  • Cars and Cannons. What could go wrong?
Our Auto Assault Roadhouse coverage Part #1 is posted! Patrick Swayze eat your heart out. Highly placed individuals atop flag poles don't think for a minute this wasn't written:

"The good folks at NCSoft and NetDevil were kind enough to include me as part of their first "Roadhouse Session". We all acted like Patrick Swayze, starting bar fights, dancing rather dirtily and riding mechanical bulls. When the hard work was done, we really got down to business. The business of Auto Assault. The business of Characters: Creation, Stats and Levelling up."

  • Two million subscribers and one interview.
WorldofWar.net has an interview with the Blizzard development and it's all about, you guessed it, World of Warcraft. They may have written this:

"Are there any plans at Blizzard to create more individual avatar styles than there are available now?  Could changes like new hairstyles, tattoos, scarring or equipment dye be worked into the current art and code?"

  • Resistance is futile.
GameCloud has an interview with Jason Hall of Monlolith discussing the SoE purchase of The Matrix Online. It's within the realm of possibility that they wrote this:

"One of the most interesting moves in MMORPG history was made last week as The Matrix Online, the heavily hyped continuation of the movie trilogy, began its move to Sony Online from its now former developer Monolith. Gamecloud got a chance to briefly quiz Jason Hall, the head of the game's publisher Warner Brothers Interactive, to find out more about the move."

  • More pirates....Holy Hannah in a handbasket.
Gamers Info has posted a Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates interview featuring Daniel James. It's within the realm of possibility that they wrote this:

"Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates is one of the most unique MMO's out there. It takes many of the common concepts seen in some of the bigger budget titles and spins them down to their simplest form. Combined with puzzles that at first appear easy, but will end up taking hours out of your day before you even realize it, it is a lot of swashbuckling fun! We recently sat down with Daniel James, lead designer and CEO of Three Rings, and Jon Demos, one of the talented artists working on the game."

  • Back from the dead.
MMORPG.com has a Meridian 59 Evolution interview posted featuring Brian Green of Near Death Studios. We can assure you that they may have written this:

"A few weeks ago at E3, I had a chance to catch up with Brian Green of Near Death Studios, the company hard at work on Meridian 59. The show had just ended, and as he and I were in the same hotel, we decided we could not leave E3 without one last interview each. So, in the hotel lobby, laptop in hand, Brian took me on a brief tour of his game and we chatted about where it has been and where it – and he – are headed."
