NORTH DOWNS REPUTATION

Rangers protect the freedom and safety of the people of Eriador. And some of the lamposts.
The Rangers of Esteldin, a local branch of the Grey Company
and headed by Dagoras, are the faction to please in the North Downs.
Staunch opponents of orc-kind, they value tokens of their defeat.
Many quests in the North Downs, particularly the ones out of
Esteldin and the ones for Volume I Book 3, offer Rangers of Esteldin
reputation. Questing is the fastest way to crank up the rep, and has
the added benefit of earning loads of XP.
Killing orcs and other baddies in Fornost is another good
place to prove your worth to the Rangers. Every kill in the Fornost
instance earns Rangers of Esteldin rep, and taking down Remmenaeg earns
a cool 1,200 points.
And of course, there's always Dol Dinen. Orc Campaign
Medallions, Orc Battle Medallions and War-master's Lashes can be looted
from bodies here. It may
be possible to purchase these items from the auction house, but be
prepared to pay through the nose for them - they're not terribly
common. Exchange these with Nethur, the lady leaning against the lamp
post across from the crafting hall:
Tailors can craft reputation items for the Rangers of
Esteldin. Techeron, the ranger standing by the tents in front of the
crafting hall, sells the recipes and exchanges the crafted items for
rep:
Earning standing with the Rangers of Esteldin allows for the
purchase and use of the following items from Malenfang, the ranger
standing
across from the crafting hall at the foot of the stairs:
Additionally, Bordhreg, a NPC inside the crafting hall, offers
a Stone Tower for 57s to characters with Ally standing. This is an
Enormous Yard decoration for kinship houses, and it is truly enormous.
