Casual Stroll to Mordor Going Out with a Bang

Posted Mon, Jun 24, 2013 by Martuk

If you’ve been an avid player of The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO), you have likely at one time or another visited A Casual Stroll to Mordor, a dedicated LOTRO fansite run by husband and wife combo known as Merric and Goldenstar. The website will officially sunset at the end of this month, bringing an end to its near 4-year run.

The site’s 200th and final podcast episode will be posted around June 29th, but before that happens, the site has a lot of prizes to give away to thank fans for their support courtesy of Turbine. The duo will be handing out codes for Turbine Points, a LOTRO Triple expansion pack, and Riders of Rohan pre-order codes.

While the support for the site’s content will end, it will still be available for the foreseeable future. Merric and Goldenstar have not ruled out the possibility for a future return nor have they revealed any plans to.

Head over to the Casual Stroll to Mordor website to say goodbye to the crew before it comes to an end.

LotRO's new class comes late to the party, but it is certainly an interesting choice.
