Patch day has arrived once again for The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) to bring a fresh infusion of new content. Update 11: Treachery of the White Hand is now live, adding new VIP benefits, Hobbit presents, a mounted combat revamp, and five new explorable areas: The Fallows, Whitshaws, High Knolls, Balewood, and Writhendowns. Update 11 also includes a number of bug fixes, class tweaks, adjustments to raids, instances, and skirmishes, and more.

Another little addition that players may find interesting is the newly added Lalia’s Market in Bree. The new shop features an assortment of available items such as cosmetics, war-steed sets, accessories, and more. Many of the items in the store are available for the new Mithril Coin currency.

As part of today’s update, Turbine implemented a new LOTRO Launcher that now plays nice with your default browser setting. Unfortunately, there seems to be some problems with the patcher as of the writing of this article, so if you may or may not be able to get online. Turbine is working to resolve the issue, but be aware of that if you try to log in.
