To say that EA may be going overboard with their promotion of Mass Effect 3 is a bit of an understatement. Despite that, the publisher plans to launch several copies of the game into space next week via weather balloons that will be launching from locations in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris. Attached to each copy will be a GPS tracking device that fans can use to track the game’s return to Earth, and if lucky, find one of the returning copies and get a chance to play before its March 6th release.

EA is expected to release more details about the event on Tuesday.
