Blizzard has made a bit more of StarCraft II available for free to the masses with the new StarCraft II: Starter Edition, which has essentially replaced the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty demo and opened up a hefty amount of free content for players to enjoy. The StarCraft II: Starter Edition is available for free and will allow unlimited gameplay of the first four missions of the single player campaign, access to the terran race in custom games and single player vs AI matches and more.

Additionally, players will have access to four custom maps: Xel’Naga Caverns, Shattered Temple, Discord IV and High Orbit. Any campaign progress or achievements earned with the StarCraft II: Starter Edition are saved to your Battle.net account and can be rolled over if you decide to buy the full game. Now there's no excuse not to try out StarCraft II.
