There are traditional ways to propose marriage to a loved one and then there are those who get down right creative. Such is the story of Alexander "Strongwall" and Maria "Gaia Stormsoul two City of Heroes players, who recently became engaged through some creative thinking. After a request to the devs at Paragon Studios, the team organized the event with a huge invasion of Paragon City's Atlas Park in which several members of the dev team took part. The event contained much fighting, a very large supervillain and culminated with a proposal. In case you're wondering, she said yes. The entire story was covered by the New York Post and immortalized in a comic by Alexander "Strongwall" himself.

Lead designer at Paragon Studios, Melissa “War Witch” Bianco, who made the in-game proposal happen, had perfect reaction to the idea: "I thought, 'Wow, that is freaking COOL!'"
