Starting this weekend, Paragon Studios will be reactivating inactive City of Heroes accounts to allow former players to return to the game under the new free-to-play model a little early. Former accounts will be gradually reactivated over the next few days and tagged as Premium accounts, allowing former players to return to the game and pick up where they left off.

The reactivation will not happen all at once, so if you're unable to log into the game, it may take a little time before your account is re-enabled. The official Freedom launch is set to take place next week, but if you have an old account, you should be able to get some play time in this weekend.

If you’re a VIP player that has some friends that you would like to introduce to the game, a new “Refer a Friend” program will soon be available that can even earn you a few rewards.
