Dawntide’s long-running open beta that has lasted over a year will come to an end on October 1st, 2011, which is also inked as the official launch date for the game. At launch, the Dawntide client will be available for free and come with a free 10-day trial, after which a subscription will be required to play. In addition to the announcement, developer Working As Intended has released a Dawntide Roadmap to outline here they intend to have the game at launch and where it will go from there.

Dawntide will feature a world sized at 500 square kilometers at launch with two races to choose from and two more to be added post-launch. The game will feature crafting, market trading, factions siege warfare, buildings and ships with the option of piracy. For more information be sure to check out the Dawntide Roadmap.
