Seems like the announcement that Destiny 2 would be delayed didn't go over that well with the board at Bungie, prompting Harold Ryan to step down as the CEO. He will be replaced by Pete Parsons, the previous COO at Bungie and longtime executive at the company. Parsons made an official statement shortly after the change took place.

To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together.

I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work.

Destiny has been in  a sort of purgatory that last several months as there has been no real new content since the Taken King launched way back in September. Hopefully the changes to management will result in the promised Destiny 2 getting back on track, and maybe a little new content while we wait.
