Only two weeks before launch Bungie has dropped a bomb on the Destiny crowd, there will be no new raid available when the Taken King launches on September 15th. During the IGN live show at PAX Prime, Taken King Director Luke Smith confirmed the news.

It's not going to be available on day one. We definitely have a plan for when it’s going to be available. I’m not going to announce the plan for it on the youtube gaming stage.

But I promise for people who are excited about the raid will know when it's time to take time off work. We’ll give em’ a heads up

The new raid was one of the most anticipated pieces of content coming with the new expansion because of the lack of one in House of Wolves. The last new raid Destiny players got to see was back when the Dark Below came out. 

Hopefully there wont be too long of a wait, but if it's anything like the Vault of Glass's delay it should hopefully be no more than a week or two (fingers crossed).
