Just over three weeks left until the cutoff and the Dota 2 Compendium sales continue to roll, breaking another million dollar mark. Total sales of the Compendiums breached 16 million, over 1 million more than the dream stretch goal of 15 million originally set by the developer. The only question that remains is will there be any sort of surprise reward revealed for setting these new records, or will they stick to the plan currently outlined on the official compendium page.

Many have speculated that a surprise reward will be revealed, since last years compendium had the surprise Techies taunt added as a last minute gift. Although that was planned as a way of introducing Techies to Dota 2, I would not put a new hero introduction past them, especially considering the last one was in February. 

Whether or not there is more in store for Compendium purchasers, there is no denying that this years fund raising has been a huge success that will form a prize purse never before seen in competitive gaming before.
