There may often be a lot of drama, backstabbing and politics that go on in the EVE Online universe, but the same players that stir up those events and keep the game interesting can also be extremely generous. When Japan was ravaged by an earthquake and tsunami last month, CCP put out another call for players to donate to relief efforts with a new PLEX for Good campaign. The drive ended on March 31st and CCP has announced that through the generosity of its player community, over $44,000 was been collected to aid in relief efforts.

In the official announcement, CCP also thanked several players (Viaris, Vehrokh and DJ Wiggles) that went above and beyond to help raise money for the cause. It's always good to see the gaming community come together and help aid in disaster relief. Well done EVE Online players.
